Our client, an online gaming and betting giant, is currently recruiting for Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team in West London, initially on a 6 month contract. Pay: GBP 500/550/day Ltd

Role Summary

A strong and experienced Project/Programme Manager is required to lead the delivery of a large infrastructure project which is currently at the very early PoC phase. They will be working alongside technical teams and reporting to the Global Head of Reliability and Operations.

The successful candidate will

This role primarily focuses on the managing the project to create my clients next generation internal IaaS platform, and the transition of live services onto the platform. The IaaS services are developed and managed in/house (as opposed to outsourced), so you will be dealing with technicians and subject matter experts through to senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills and Experience

* Experience in understanding, communicating and delivering complex infrastructure projects.

* Must be comfortable in a high pressure environment and have the ability to communicate well with senior stakeholders

* Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentations)

* Drive and determination, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fluid organization

* Must have experience of managing projects through the end/end life; from concept to business benefits realisation. Must be able to clearly demonstrate business achievements to date

* Experience of tightly managing risks and issues

* Understanding of commercial contracts and managing vendors within the bounds of that contract

* Excellent working knowledge of Project Management techniques

* Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines.

* Educated to degree level in a business, science or technology related field

Also of interest to my client:

* Understanding IaaS and DevOps

* Experience from previous data centre creation/move projects

* Openstack experience

* PRINCE2 or SixSigma qualified practitioner

* Understanding of Agile project methodologies

* Experience within a Business/to/Customer or Internet industries
