My Central Glasgow client is seeking a talented Oracle DBA to come on board and work on-site with one of their large financial clients. My client is a global leader in business and technology services, helping their clients and customers achieve notable results in an ever challenging market.

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up Oracle and Unix environment components

* Maintain/Administer EMER Owned databases

* Housekeeping of Unix file systems

* Backup/Restore Oracle Databases (Ad-hoc and Scheduled) & Applications

* Provide environment support (including defects, requests and data cut-down)

* Raise defects against Documentation, Code and configuration required for deployment

* Assess deploy and where necessary correct SQL Scripts delivered by various engineering rooms

* Advise projects on database requirements and provide input to Coordinators/Test Leads and Release Managers on environment capacity

* Seek opportunities to improve standard Environment Services procedures/processes, document and distribute to technical team

Key Skills & Experience:

* Background in Oracle Database Administration
