Central England Co-operative is one of the largest and most successful independent co-operatives in the UK, with gross sales in excess of £1bn and over 8,800 colleagues operating across 16 counties, from the heart of England to its eastern shores. Our colleagues are the key to our success, which is why we want the very best people as part of our team.

As Programme Manager at our Business Support Centre, you will provide a high quality programme management service for all of our strategic business transformational projects. You will make a big impact on the future success of our Society by ensuring these key projects are always delivered on time, within budget and to plan and specification.

Leading a small team, you will build strong working relationships with senior colleagues across our Society to prioritise business projects and ensure they achieve our goals and targets. This influential role will also involve communicating your programme vision and developing our approaches, framework and governance structure for programme and project management.

Shaping how our project managers work, you will continually improve a variety of processes and procedures. These will cover everything from decision making and status updates to reporting on project performance and identifying project benefits and the best use of resources.

An excellent communicator, you must have wide-ranging experience of project delivery and programme management for business processes, including knowledge of at least two recognised methodologies and approaches. Passionate about keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in project management best practice, you should also have an impressive track record of innovation, improvement and engaging with colleagues at all levels. A talented and inspirational leader, you will ideally have a relevant degree or professional qualification.

As a Central England Co-operative colleague you will enjoy a wide range of benefits, including Society Membership, colleague discount on purchases, pension and health scheme.

At Central England Co-operative Society we are all individual, like you. We value your individuality and welcome applications from all members of society regardless of personal characteristics.
