Job Title: 1st Line Support Technician / 2nd Line Support Technician Location: London, EC4VSalary: £25 - £28k PA or £150 per day on rolling 3 month contract    The company is a rapidly growing technology solutions provider based in London they are  looking to hire a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their team of Engineers. The successful applicant will work a mixture of days at client sites and working remotely from the operations office in central London. Key Responsibilities:

Working on site on a variety of client offices providing onsite support and working on IT projects (Windows Server, email migration, desktop builds, etc)Working at the Service provider's operations office in central London managing help desk tickets remotely.A hands-on approach to supporting and implementing IT services and systems.Must be able to work in a proactive manner either individually or as part of a team.Liaising with clients to discuss issues, review requirements and provide reports to management.Must provide a consistent, high quality, customer focussed support to users of their IT servicesMonitoring of client desktop, servers, systems and backup using remote monitoring and management tools.A professional manner and smart appearance is very important.Some weekend work may be required.Some out of hours cover will be required.                                   

The Candidate: Experience required;

Experience of supporting small and medium sized businesses.Strong technical skills around Windows Server, Hosted Exchange Platforms, Active Directory and Domain Controller, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP. Backup technologies, VMWare, Veeam.Experience with Wi-Fi systems, VPN technology.Experience of Virtualisation technologies (VMWare, Hyper V)Advanced Windows Desktop experience including MS office, Acrobat, FTP client / server.Troubleshooting client issues and resolving them politely and without issue.Knowledge of Printer & Scanner setup and fault find.Knowledge of cloud services and solutions (Azure, AWS)Any knowledge of Oil and Gas exploration applications a benefit.
