Front Office Trading System Integration Engineer

My client is a global investment organisation based in Central Glasgow. For an initial 12 months, they require an experienced Front Office Trading System Integration Engineer.

Skills required (essential):

- In-Depth knowledge of running business applications on Linux (RHEL 4,5,6)

- Strong Scripting - Shell Scripts, Perl, Python

- Ability to handle pressure and think quickly on your feet. We have tight deadlines, and production problems need to be debugged and fixed quickly.

- Interacts well with the team as well as with users

- Communicates clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing

- Strong problem solving skills

- Track record in delivering projects through the full development lifecycle

- Strong debugging skills; disciplined in source control and testing

- Databases, SQL

Skills Desired:

- Working knowledge of the FIX protocol

- Good grasp of one of our core programming languages (C++, Java, C#)

- KDB

- Understanding of Equities or Listed Derivatives trading
