Application Support Analyst
Application Support Analyst is sought by a leading Financial Services company to join their Production Team based the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a robust, diligent and highly motivated Application Support Analyst to be challenged across a range of technologies and provide second level support across business critical applications.
As Application Support Analyst you will interface with the development team as well as the software suppliers to ensure that not only are applications are ready for deployment but seen as a critical part of the process in trouble shooting these before release. will be accountable for maintaining and building relationships with business teams internally and externally. As Application Support Analyst it is particularly important that technically you are highly proficient in working across Unix platforms and have core skills in PERL, bash shell scripting. It is also highly desirable if you are an Application Support Analyst who are accomplished in Informatica PowerCenter, ORSYP Dollar Universe as well as Nagios.
This Application Support Analyst opportunity comprises both reactive support & incident management and project based installation, upgrade & migration work. Application Support Analyst profile required:
Application Support Analyst experiences in Banking or Financial Services of at least three years.
Strong experiences in Unix environments
Must be highly accomplished technically in PERL, Korn or Bash Shell scripting,
Experienced using Informatica PowerCenter is highly desirable but not essential
Experienced in using Nagios, BMC Control M and ORSYP Dollar Universe are welcome
Strong analytical skills as well as being diligent in requirement gathering and problem solving,
An openness to technology and a readiness to be challenged across technology,
Possess a keen attention to detail and a business and technical focus.
Experiences with SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL are desirable but not essential,
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
Ideally educated to degree level.
