An excellent opportunity for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong embedded C and microcontroller interfaces (UART, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, ADC and DAC) development experience to join an innovative company who are one of the worlds leading developers of medical, scientific and commercial laser systems for applications as diverse as Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Laser Surgery, Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopy and Flat Panel Displays.

You will be developing absolutely state-of-the-art systems for a high technology company who boast excellent work, environment and facilities.

In order to join the team your essential skills will include -

*A minimum of 5 years Embedded Software experience

*Strong C coding skills on embedded platforms and algorithm development

*Familiar with 16/32 bit Microcontroller

*Field experience with Real Time Operating Systems

*Field experience with the use of Microcontroller interfaces, UART, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, ADC and DAC.

*Use of Windows based development tools

*Experience with Version Control Systems

*Ability to respond to technical inquiries from other departments and customers in a clear, accurate, and professional manner (both written and in person).

*Graduate calibre, able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision

Any additional skills in the following would be a definite advantage -

*Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming

*Experience with Visual Studio IDE

If you have 5+ years Embedded Software development experience, including microcontroller interfacing, from an instrumentation, optics or industrial development background and would like the opportunity to work on sophisticated laser systems development, this could be the ideal position for you.
