Junior Analog IC Design Engineer

This is a new opportunity for a Junior Analog IC Design Engineer to join an established team based in the fantastic city of Edinburgh!

Working on state of the art technology you will be involved in Analog IC Design from specification, design, modelling and implementation of Analog blocks. You will be working alongside other teams including; Digital IC Design, layout engineers, architecture, validation, characterisation, optics, mechanical design, failure analysis and test. This will enable you to build on your knowledge of the full product development cycle. You will be responsible for the schematic capture, layout / layout supervision, extraction and simulation of Analogue IP and its integration into the top level of the design.

The successful candidate will be qualified with a Masters or PhD in Electronic Engineering (or equivlient). You will have a background in Analog IC design, with the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of design fundamentals and will have experience in some or all of the following; CMOS, Cadence tools, Mixed signal simulation, LDO regulators, charge pumps, oscillators, PLL, and/or ADCs and DACs. Knowledge in time of flight or CMOS imaging is an advantage.

Experience ranging from graduate level upwards will be considered. The candidate must be capable of assembling knowledge in new environments, understanding complex issues and deriving innovative solutions to improve design, verification and flows. Understanding design interactions at system level will be crucial to the definition of quality cell level specifications. Experience leading the development of Analog sub-systems would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work well within a team and be highly motivated. Strong communication skills are essential.
