We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Technician to join our client's team based in Sutton Coldfield.Please only apply if you live within a commutable distance of this location.

The Role
We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Technician to support and work closely with their Infrastructure Engineers and monitor the performance of their clients Internal IT and Telecoms Systems.
In your daily duties, you will:
* Manage and distribute all incoming queries to the Infrastructure Service Desk
* Support and manage the office WAN
* Build and deploy new servers, PCs, laptops, printers etc
* Full asset and Inventory Management
* Carry out maintenance and housekeeping tasks
* Statistics and network analysis
* Scope for individual project work
The Person
To be considered for the role of IT Infrastructure Technician you must have / be:
* Methodical and thorough, with excellent organisational skills and experience producing high quality documentation for internal processes and customers
* Self-motivated and able to work under pressure within a small team
* Ability to build good working relationships
* Can do attitude to go the extra mile
* Enthusiastic and hard working with ability to apply common sense and show initiative!
Essential Skills
* Windows Desktop OS's - Installing, Configuring and maintaining
* Some exposure to the Microsoft Windows Server platform
* Ability to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve technology issues
* A good understanding of TCP / IP networking
Knowledge or Experience of the following would be advantageous:
* Virtualisation technologies and principles
* Any scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, VBScript, Python, etc)
* Relational databases (ideally Microsoft SQL Server)
Hours
Your contracted working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am until 5.30pm (with some flexibility).Salary Package
For the role of Infrastructure Technician you will receive:
* Competitive Salary of up to £23,000 per annum
* 20 Days starting rising to 25 after 5 years' service, Holiday plus Bank Holidays
