Excel / VBA / Regulatory / Contract / London / £500-£600pd

My client a top tier investment bank is looking for an Excel VBA developer with regulatory experience ideally around Libor to join their expanding team based in Central London.

The primary focus will be in Excel with VBA working on their in-house functional language in order to support their Libor and risk tools.

Main Duties

The main focus of the work is tactical applications, but not in isolation from the strategic projects ongoing in the department - we integrate into, and use existing, strategic projects whenever it is sensible to do so. The team employs some agile techniques (though does not adhere strictly to any specific agile methodology) and develops software in a variety of languages - the main focus of the role is on Excel using both an in house functional programming language and VBA (roughly 80% of day-to-day is in Excel), there is also some C#. regulatory/Libor business knowledge would be beneficial but is not a fundamental requirement for the role.

Person Requirements

The candidate must:

- Technically proficient - knowledge Excel VBA

- Experience working within Regulatory arena ideally working on Libor work

- Proficient in C# is advantageous

- Comfortable facing off directly to the business and dealing with traders.

- Comfortable with rapidly changing priorities and short term projects.

- Comfortable learning new languages.
