Looking for a new role? we are in need of a MI Development Analyst to work for a large Utilities organisation in Cathcart. This is a highly specialised technical role, responsible for the analysis, design and development of Business Intelligence technical and operational solutions using SAP Business Warehouse v7.3 and SAP Business Objects v4.1.

Responsibilities:

Interact with business to gather requirements, prioritise work, develop enhancements to the existing data model, and coordinate testing

Plan, prioritise, and execute Business Intelligence Development projects assigned via the Work Request system.

Develop Business Intelligence reports using the appropriate SAP Business Warehouse v7.3 and SAP Business Objects v4.1.

This will include:

*data modelling and data architecture design / implementation, ETL

*data integration and data conversion design / implementation

*defining and implementing metadata management structures and processes

*end-user report development, from requirement gathering to design, build, test, deploy

Prepare project related documentation (functional design, technical design, test scripts) during the different stages of a software development project.

Monitor, communicate and troubleshoot issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues across all ER Reporting environments.

Review the existing KPIs and control metrics, providing the ER Reporting Development Manager with recommendations on future requirements and ideas for ongoing improvement and enhancement.

Essentials:

Non-Technical

Able to work well under pressure and to tight timescales while managing and prioritising multiple work items.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language, and work with non-technical users to ensure common understanding.

Excellent numerical, analytical & planning skills.

Detailed understanding of process control metrics, and an in depth knowledge of operational metrics to allow the design and display of meaningful KPI, CTQ and Business intelligence measures.

Technical

Extensive experience of reporting development across SAP Business Warehouse v7.3 and SAP Business Objects v4.1.

Technical understanding of data extraction techniques and presentation of data including all aspects of data modelling.
