Automation Tester - Automation Test Analyst - Selenium - Java - Web - Test Script - Central London

My client has an urgent vacancy for an experienced Automation Tester to join a busy project team on a 6 month initial contract.

The successful Automation Tester will work closely with a team of software developers, testers (internal and Partners), business representatives and industry experts to validate and verify the scope of requirements, define test cases and manage and participate in testing activities. The role forms part of a Quality Assurance practice reporting directly to the senior stakeholders / Test manager.

Skills and Experience:

*Strong understanding and experience of Test Automation concepts and best practices

*Strong understanding of regression testing concepts and best practices

*Demonstrable experience in Selenium (as well as Java development experience ideally)

*Good experience of a variety of Programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, Visual Basic)

*Development frameworks (e.g. .Net,)

*Web technologies (e.g. IIS, SOAP, MVC, CSS, JavaScript)

*Build and Unit Testing Frameworks (e.g... MS Build, NANT, Unknit)

*Experience with the implementation of Automated Test Cases using Unknit and Spec Flow.

*ISTQB certified tester at foundation level

*Previous experience in Automation Testing

*Good experience designing and developing automated test scenarios.

*Familiarity with build/deployment automation and continuous integration highly desirable.
