Infrastructure Project Manager Permanent Fixed Term

Location Hertfordshire/London

Salary: Negotiable

Job Description: I have several fantastic opportunities for Infrastructure Project Managers across multiple disciplines. Dependent on experience the projects will range from small to large complex Infrastructure projects and you will be pivotal in the strategic approach to the clients.

The successful individuals will have significant experience in managing all types of engagement; will be highly proficient in Change Management, and managing the scope of projects. Typical infrastructure projects will include contractual service transitions, transformation projects, datacenter relocations, Rollouts WAN projects, IP) projects, VDI/Virtualization engagements and will adhere to Prince2 methodology.

The role will include lots of travel across the UK and you will need to have your own vehicle and a Full UK Driving License. Due to the nature of the work undertaken people who have current SC Clearance would be of particular interest.

All though the role is for a fixed term Project Manager there is a high chance of being taken on full time and excellent career progression for the right people

Responsibility:

*Defining, shaping and leading projects, which can be of a large and/or strategic and/or complex nature?

This includes:

*Employing accurate estimating techniques, and to use product-based planning, risk management, change management, monitoring and control appropriately.

*Running projects adopting the accepted best practices including Prince2, and ensuring the project team do so too.

*Monitoring, and reporting on, the overall profitability of the project

*Escalating promptly any issues that may in future have an impact on the companies or the future relationship with the customer.

*Running stages, tranches or other parts of a complex or large project or programme on behalf of a Snr PM

*Conducting activities that lead to a customer purchasing project services

*Participating in pre-sales presentations and meetings

*Working closely with management to develop and enhance service offerings

In each of the above duties the following approach is required:

*Be aware of, and, if necessary, act upon the legal context of their project.

*Gains a full understanding of the project finances including the management of the project code.

The Ideal Candidate

*Holds Prince2 Practitioner qualification

*Must have experience in having managed infrastructure projects of £300000 services value (excluding hardware)

*Literate (able to write credible documents) and numerate (confident with calculating costs and margins)

*Experience of running a number of large or complex infrastructure projects successfully

*P&L management experience

*Intimate knowledge of change management, risk management, setting up and initiating projects.

*Able to run Project Definition Workshops
