Infrastructure Project Manager 6 Months Fixed Term

Job Description: I have a fantastic opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Managers. The successful Project Manager 1 will run typically infrastructure projects where scope is straightforward or the scale is lower. They will also run parts (stages) of more complex or larger projects under the control of a Senior Project Manager. Role Responsibility

*Running straightforward projects as lead project manager

*Running projects adopting best practices including Prince2 and ensuring the team do so too

*Monitoring, and reporting on the overall profitability/ progress against business case of the project

*Planning, monitoring and controlling stages of a project under the overall control of a lead project manager

*Escalating promptly any issues that may impact the company, or the future relationship with the customer

*Employing accurate estimating techniques, and using product-based planning, risk management, and monitoring and control appropriately

*Producing stage plans, highlight reports, risk logs, requests for change etc

*Adopting the accepted best practices including Prince 2

*Defining, booking, and managing the exact resources to be used to deliver the stage, whilst conforming to the overall project plan. This may include management of customers' own staff

*Monitoring and acting upon the financial charges to the project

*Providing a day-to-day contact with the customer

*Gains a full understanding of the project finances including the management of the project code.

The Ideal Candidate

Key Requirements

*Literate (able to write credible documents) and numerate (confident with calculating costs and margins) Experience of working in a project team on at least 3 end to end IT projects

*Knowledge of Project initiation, change management, risk management, and the principles and practicalities of running projects

*Ability to get on with all levels of people and strong relationship building skills

*Holds current driving licence and able and willing to drive
