Our vision is to make Lloyds Banking Group the best bank for customers. As the UK's largest retail and commercial bank, we have a footprint that touches nearly every community and household in the UK. That gives us a big responsibility to support the UK economy, and to put customers at the heart of everything we do. To achieve this, we also need to be the best bank for our colleagues and our communities - and we have a clear strategy in place to make this a reality. We are building on our many strengths: iconic brands, strong heritages and great people. To unlock the great potential in our business, we are becoming more efficient, more transparent, and more responsive to customers. Already the UK's largest community investor, we are giving even more back. Above all, we are putting customers first.

A vacancy has become available in the Code Deployments Team - part of Systems Management Services within Group IT. This is a fascinating role, bringing the opportunity to get involved in some of the bank's most interesting projects and manage key deployments tools as well as licensing audit products and their expansion.

HP Autonomy TeamSite is a specialist WCM application; however we also have servers dedicated to deployment of Code using the same technology. ILMT is IBM's License Metric Tool which we have deployed to thousands of our virtual servers and supporting this is a key aspect of the role. Both are niche technologies, so it's not expected that all candidates have detailed knowledge of either but familiarity in the fields they are prevalent is a must - UNIX, Linux, Windows.

We are looking for applicants who have strong experience working in a large IT Service Delivery function, project delivery experience (including infrastructure delivery), Windows infrastructure skills and application support experience. Most importantly we are looking for someone with a strong track record and motivation to learn and develop their skills. We'll provide excellent training and development opportunities for the right candidate.

Ideally you will have experience in the following technologies:

Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012

Web Hosting (IIS)

Perl / Java

UNIX / Linux

TeamSite

Flexera / ILMT

Our core hours are 08:00 to 18:00 and we operate a 24x7 call out rota shared within the team. Some out of hours work is required and this is shared throughout the team.

Specific Technical Knowledge:

- Very strong technical knowledge of the environment and associated technologies and the related standards and policies used to govern these technologies.

- Very strong knowledge and experience of the technical and operational processes used to deploy, support and maintain the technical infrastructure and/or business application services.

- Very strong diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources, allowing the provision of highly effective solutions in complex environments with little need for escalation.

- Proven systematic and analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to analyse data from multiple sources allowing for the provision and implementation of highly effective business solutions.

- Experience in delivering complex projects and / or incident recoveries.

- Ability to assess cost/resource implications associated with project scope changes.

- Ability to identify industry best practice and drive technology and process improvements.

- Experience of operating in a Service Delivery environment with good understanding of frameworks and processes.

- Very strong influencing and negotiation skills within the technical specialism of the role.

- A proven track-record in automation of manual processes and ability to see opportunities for service and process improvements - and implement them in a collaborative manner.
