About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established team within a large multi-national bank as an MI Analyst - producing daily management information reports.You will be well versed to managing large volumes of data via advance excel skills and be comfortable liaising with senior external stakeholders.

This exciting opportunity will be based in Glasgow for a 6 months fixed - term contract (there may be the opportunity to extend the contract subject to the project and the right candidate)

The core MI team consists of two MI analysts (you will be one of them) with a direct reporting line to an MI manager (a bank employee).

The role comprises of the following key tasks:

- Creating daily/weekly reports in the form of Excel spreadsheets using formulas/PivotTable from database extracts

- Working on cost models and capacity plans to produce forecast on different scenarios for the operation.

- Fulfilling stakeholders' request by producing new MI from existing data sets.

Experience and Skills Required:

- The work will involve extensive data manipulation in Microsoft Excel and use of PowerPoint.

- Previous database experience especially Microsoft Access will be advantageous.

- Graduate/entry level (2-3 years) in numerate discipline with deep experience in using Microsoft Excel

- 2:1/1st in numerate subject

- Advanced Excel

- Excellent level of spoken and written English

- Some knowledge of Microsoft Access advantageous

-Demonstrable experience of producing MI and scenario/cost modelling

- VBA or some programming knowledge is an advantage

- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ previous experience in Advanced Microsoft Excel.

- Commitment to the duration of the project is expected.

- Candidates must work via a UK Limited company or Umbrella company.

The Ideal applicant will be able to start asap subject to satisfactory security vetting checks.

The rate is £275-£325 per day (depending on experience/fit), Please note: Expenses will NOT be paid for.
