The Role

The trade application support specialist (client service specialist) will be part of a 3-strong London based team, who are responsible for managing production issues on a day-to-day basis within the trade notification/post-trade service part of the group. The London based team support the EMEA region, and is part of a wider 'follow the Sun global team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting a financial product (ideally a trading product), dealing with data in real-time and have a strong understanding of financial markets. They will have good technical skills including TCP/IP networking, firewalls and DOS. Knowledge of FIX would be highly beneficial.

The trade application support specialist will have:

* At least 3 years' experience in supporting a financial product with a real-time element

* A good understanding of financial markets

* Network knowledge including TCP/IP skills, firewalls and private networks

* Knowledge of DOS

It is highly desirable that the trade application support specialist have:

* Knowledge of FIX protocol versions 4.0 and 4.2 for equities and derivatives

* UNIX (Solaris) to Unix administrator level, good working knowledge of SQL and querying, web-based application architecture and Java Applets
