Making full use of your knowledge of our platform and your analytical skills, you'll develop valuable technical solutions. Whether you're working independently or as part of a team, you will provide efficient, effective software solutions - utilising familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle. An Understanding of business processes and architecture and how they integrate with the technical aspects of the role will be key to your success.

Your varied responsibilities will range from reviewing platform deliverables and documentation, through to requirement assessment and option definition. Keen to develop yourself as well as others you will relish your involvement in coaching and mentoring. Along the way, you'll work with a range of key stakeholders, external partners and our Quality Assurance team, to support the successful achievement of IT strategies. If you have extensive relevant knowledge, skills and experience, you'll enjoy the scope to play a coordinating role.

Having strong skills in software development lifecycle is essential, and you should be able to demonstrate this through your experience to date.

We are looking for individuals that have experience in a number of the areas below:

- Understanding of SWIFT global secure financial messaging service and FIN message formats

- A good understanding of core technologies such as Unix Command Shell Scripting, Oracle, WAS, MQ and Java, including Web Service Architecture

- Knowledge of defect management processes, tools and experience in live system support

- Understanding of system scheduling components such as TWS/OPCA

- Fundtech GPP Product Knowledge would be an advantage

- Understanding of rules based payment engine systems, and their function

An understanding of other payment schemes such as BACS and Faster Payments would also be an advantage. Working to tight deadlines and providing weekend and out of hours support is also required.
