Senior NOC Engineer - Bellshill, Glasgow and North Lanarkshire

CISCO, CCNA, CCNP & CISCO UC / Unified Communications, Network Security, Checkpoint

£30,000pa to £40,000 + FE Car + Training & Excellent Benefits Package

Established UK IT Network Solutions Provider urgently requires a focused, enthusiastic and professional Senior NOC (Network Operations Centre) Engineer who will offer multi-vendor technical support to assist and support an expanding client base in the Lanarkshire are.

As part of the clients Virtual Network Operations Centre, you will be required to provide customer centric support as well as supporting First Line NOC Engineers and Field Service Engineers on an on-call basis. Retaining existing customers and taking on new business is essential to business growth.

The Senior NOC Engineer will be required to make complex changes for the managed services customer's networks and for all security devices.

As a customer facing employee you will have the commercial awareness to investigate potential new revenue streams of which you will be rewarded appropriately.

KEY ATTRIBUTES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Strong experience in a support role with emphasis on Networks or Unified Communication & Collaboration, Unified Communications, (UC) environment.

* Act as a technical escalation for Field Service Engineers and First Line NOC Engineers.

* Understand the need for prioritisation of incidents, and that accept business drivers may need to be taken into account.

* Maintain communication with all relevant teams during the life of an incident.

* Customer site visits to resolve incidents that cannot be resolved remotely.

* Experience working with equipment from multiple major network vendors such as Cisco, Enterasys, Extreme, 3Com, Brocade, Avaya Red, Avaya Blue, HP Networking, Mitel, Huawei, Check Point and Aruba.

* Experience in dealing directly with customers.

* Experience of supporting large scale, multi-vendor, complex installations of more than 3000 users.

* Flexibility as the role will demand changes to work patterns at short notice. Engineers may also need to work within other Service Delivery teams as required.

* Coexist with Pre & Post Sales Consultants

* Ability to obtain SC clearance

* CCNA & CCNP Certifications are required

* Maintain professional working relationships with customers, suppliers and work colleagues.
