We are seeking an experienced IT Support Administrator to assist in providing 2nd line technical support for our customers.

The successful candidate will resolve IT incidents and problems, and offer support and guidance on technical matters to enable delivery of their business objectives. The candidate will be required to use their technical and communication skills to analyse problems and issues then recommend and implement appropriate solutions.

Experience of supporting users on Windows 7/8.1 platform, and Microsoft Office 2010 is essential.

The candidates are expected to have the following skills:

Essential Skills

1. Expert knowledge of Windows 7/8.1 OS, MS Office 2010 products and resolving customer problems through the application of effective solutions.

2. Experience of Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012, Terminal Services, Thin Client, VPN, MS Exchange 2010 administration, SCCM, Windows 7/8.1 troubleshooting, HP WebJet Admin, Supporting Tablet users, Laptop/Desktop Hardware fault diagnosis.

2. Planning, organising, and prioritising day to day tasks to deliver services on time and to agreed service outcomes.

3. Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

At least 18 months experience working in an ICT Customer/Desktop support environment.

Desirable Skills:

MCP Accredited

ITIL qualified.

Experience in the use of service desk applications such as Axios - Assyst. (Branded as iFix in the Scottish Government).
