FINTEC recruit is seeking a Systems Analyst for our client who is an education provider. This is a permanent role based in Edinburgh. On offer is a salary range £27,000 - £32,500 dependent upon experience.

Role and Responsibilities

The role sits within the Business Systems team and is responsible for the development and maintenance of all business systems within the organisation. Key responsibilities, mainly involving UnitE and Celcat, will include but not be limited to

* Business analysis - develop business cases to inform selection of new information systems

* Provide advice on working practices and business improvements to managers

* Analyse, devise and design solutions to meet Business System requirements

* Configure, support and maintain business application systems in use by the establishment

* Create and maintain system documentation and procedures and provide systems training

* Liaise with external suppliers for problem resolution and project support

* Produce project management and system change documentation to department standards

The ideal candidate for the Systems Analyst role will have

* Degree or equivalent in Business Management, Life Sciences or Information Systems

* Experience of working in an Further/Higher Education environment

* Familiarity with business systems requirements, analysis and design

* Taken at least one significant applications project through a full project lifecycle as a systems analyst

* Experience of maintaining UnitE

* An awareness of structure analysis techniques
