Siemens / Unify - Telecoms Engineer

My client are one of the UK's fastest growing telecommunication companies, is looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join their Technical Team, and they are also one of the UK market leading Telecoms Company. Their state-of-the-art products work in conjunction with many of the world's leading Telecoms Manufacturers like Mitel and, Unify/Siemens.

In line with ongoing business development and planned company expansion, there is now a requirement for an additional Siemens trained engineer to join the Technical team.

Role: Field & Technical Support Engineer

Product Knowledge: Siemens 3000 / Openscape MX / Unify X / SIP

The successful candidate will work from our offices in Bedfordshire reporting directly to the Support Services Manager. You will be required to travel to customer sites as and when required.

Hours: 37½ hours per week Monday to Friday, normal office hours apply.

Holiday Allowance: 20 days paid holiday p.a. increased upon anniversaries, ultimately to 24 days p.a

Remuneration: A basic salary of £26,000 p.a. to be reviewed in May of each year.

Duties to include but not restricted to:

*Assisting customers and Telecoms Engineers and all other departments with any Siemens/Unify technical issues, these can be both pre & post installation issues including site surveys.

*Liaise with customers on technical issues that they may have and, where required, arrange for an engineering visit or going onsite to rectify the technical issue/fault yourself.

*Providing technical support to on-site Telecoms Engineers.

*Ensure all other departments are up to date with any progress/issue/changes of faults and report accordingly.

*Assist engineers on site when required to complete installations.

For this new Installation, Maintenance, Commissioning and Customer Support role, the successful candidate will be experienced on the Siemens Hipath 3000 / Siemens OpenOffice / OpenScape MX / Unify X range of phone systems. The more experience and formal training / accreditations on the Unify portfolio the better. The position is a mixture of office based support and field engineering.

This is a mixed and varied role involving remote diagnostics, client support, installation, commissioning and maintenance. It is also essential that you have strong communication skills, that you are well presented, possess a flexible positive attitude and have good proactive problem solving skills. The role would suit a keen, hardworking motivated candidate who wants to develop their career within a dynamic and ambitious company. Siemens / Unify experience is essential for this role.

Preferred skills:

*Experience within the Telecoms Industry

Commutable from Bedford, Stevenage, Cambridge, Sandy, Melborn, Huntingdon, Luton, Milton Keynes and many more counties within Bedfordshire region and an Immediate start date available for the ideal candidate.
