A leading Financial Services client based in Manchester requires an experienced and dynamic Service Readiness Manager for an exciting new project.

As a Service Readiness Manager, your CV should demonstrate the following:

Essentials Skills

1.Effective and efficient workload management is essential

2.Experienced in engaging relevant stakeholders to provide Service Design and Transition Documentation

3.Experienced in managing the transition of new or changed IT Services into BAU

4.Specialist/expert capabilities and knowledge in ITIL processes

5.Able to assess the potential service impact of emerging developments and technologies and apply them to products and processes

6.Understanding of IT approach to testing IT Infrastructure and Applications

7.Excellent planning and organisational skills. PRINCE2 qualification and/or Project Management experience is desirable, ability to create plans of key milestones and dependencies

8.Considerable understanding of the industry, political environment, regulatory and legislative issues

9.Sound financial management and commercial skills

10.Ability to work with a diverse range of people and cultures

11.Able to assess the potential service impact of emerging developments and technologies and apply them to products and processes

12.Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills

13.Highly developed communication skills, able to present effectively at major meetings and to senior stakeholders

14.Experience in establishing and maintaining interfaces with major suppliers/partners

15.Expert in all aspects of the risk management process as it relates to role

16.Top-level problem solving and innovation capability

17.Excellent networking skills used at a senior level within the Bank, with suppliers, partners and sub-contractors

18.Experience of working with development teams and a defined project methodology

19.Preferably educated to Degree level education

Responsibilities

1.Manage the Service Readiness Processes, including responsibility for its compliance across the service organisation.

2.Communicating the Service Design and Transition process to all stakeholders.

3.Managing the service aspects of solution design and transition throughout the IT project lifecycle, including warranty

4.Working across teams within Bank IT and external parties to co-ordinate and validate the design of new or changed services.

5.Shaping service models, identifying gaps in operational support and working with Operational teams to make recommendations.

6.Managing the production and governance of Service Design output, including the SLA, to ensure that the appropriate information is available to the support teams.

7.Making the recommendation to the business and IT change functions regarding the decision to release and deploy into production.

8.Performing risk and issue management relating to the Service Design and Transition aspects of projects.

9.Ensure the quality of the service transition enables operational support teams to take on support without impact to service from go-live

10.Provide a pragmatic approach to the Service Design & Transition delivery framework, by clearly understanding business drivers vs organisational risk profile

11.Managing, tracking, reporting and escalating as necessary, progress on Service Design and Service Transition activity and deliverables.

12.Providing specialist advice & guidance on matters relating to Service Design and Service Transition.

13.Develop relationships with IT and Business Service Owners and Business Relationship in order to work collaboratively on behalf of the customer to achieve service transition and effective management of service risk.

14.Ensuring that the Project Manager has captured the ongoing operating costs within the appropriate Financial template

15.Keep abreast of industry developments and lead the governance of the ITIL process model in relation to service design & transition to ensure that key processes are maintained to agreed standards. Ensure these processes are continually improved to deliver improvements in efficiency and effectiveness in line with industry best practice.
