Engineer Project Manager: The Role

My client specialises in the development, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services to major clients across the UK.

We are seeking to appoint a Engineering Project Manager with demonstrable technical management experience for this large programme of works in London.

This particular programme involves tailoring a CAD product to the customer operations and transitioning it to live operations without impacting the overall service.

This role will give you the opportunity to be responsible for programme planning, coordination, governance and collaboration and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you will likely have a strong background in systems engineering and have been/will be responsible for the integrated master plan and master schedule.

Engineering Project Manager: Profile Requirements

·Proven technical management experience of working within either programme management, transition management or a business transformation programme

·ITIL Service desk experience

·Customer facing skills, including ability to conduct governance meetings, compile and brief progress updates, resolve disputes and escalate as required and create complex programme-related reports

·Strong risk management experience

·Excellent relationship management skills

·Able to use understanding of customer needs and expectations to generate mutually beneficial solutions or alternatives

·Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to duties and responsibilities

·Able to quickly pick up new tool sets and processes, with good analytical skills

·Can deliver clear messages through dialogue, written work and formal presentation

·Have excellent presentation, influencing and negotiating skills

·Demonstrates commitment to sharing ideas, technologies and best practices

·Willingness to offer fresh, innovative ideas and / or unconventional approaches

Desired Skills:

·PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification
