EMEA IT PMO /Insurance / London / 6 Month Contract / To GBP 375 / GBP 450 Per Day My Client is a leading Global Insurance organisation in need of a talented EMEA IT PMO to support a large scale, critical programme that is in-flight.

The EMEA IT PMO will work within the EMEA IT Department but will engage with multiple Business Functional areas such as Operations, Business Solutions Delivery and Project Controls.

The EMEA IT PMO will use the standard methodologies and templates which have been created for use by the EMEA IT Department and will matrix report to the Program / Project Manager(s). The role will be actively involved in supporting all aspects of the project lifecycle including planning, execution and monitoring progress against plan. The role will include the preparation of reports and the support for resolution/escalation of issues and dependency management.

EMEA IT PMO Responsibilities:

*

Work as part of a project / program team - with responsibility for the creation and maintenance of critical artefacts in line with the SDLC

* Document management (configuration management)

* Responsible for the creation, maintenance and reporting of progress of the project plans - including the critical path and dependencies (internal and external)

* Assist the Project & Programme Managers with day-to-day programme and project coordination activities - with may include ensuring actions, issues and risks are being managed appropriately

* Work with Project Controls to ensure core supported activities are completed in a timely fashion and to an agreed quality

* Support resource recruitment activities, and the on boarding of any contract resources

* Support project and resource time tracking using corporate applications

* Track and report upon key milestones and issue mitigation to alert slippage

* Track Change Control impact assessments, ensuring all are recorded in accordance with the change control process

* Maintain Project Terms of Reference, Charters, and Definitions.

* Support the Project / Program Manager in the request for key project documentation that may be required by other groups, including but not limited to Internal Audit and the Operational Risk Committee

* General administration activities, that may cover multiple time zones - including setting up video conferences and webcasts

* Constantly strive to improve upon existing processes through identification of improvements and potential risks

EMEA IT PMO Essential skills

* An understanding of Project Management and the Project Management lifecycle

* Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

* Experience of working in a large organisation, Insurance based an advantage but not essential

* A team player with good verbal and written communications skills, able to work on own initiative

* Able to be put in a position of trust (as will have access to sensitive financial data)

* Cheerful character with 'Can do' attitude

* Strong Organisational skills

* Strong Document management skills

* Attention to detail, with excellent grammatical / presentational skills

* Fluent in English, a second language desirable

* Educated to A-Level / Degree level or equivalent
