Web Designer / Digital Designer X 4 - Manchester £20-40K. Our client based in Manchester is currently looking for a talented, experienced and proven Web Designers to join their growing team of web design & development specialists to work with some of the UK's most exciting brands.

Reporting to the Head of Design and working within an experienced Marketing Team, the successful candidate will liaise with Channel Managers, Offline (TV & Print), Design & Development Team, SEO Team, Content Team & Social Media Team to ensure delivery of design to brief.

This is a hands on role where the successful applicant will be given scope to use all their web design knowledge and skills to shape ground breaking website design and online user experiences.

Success in this role will be measured and rewarded on ability to design to brief & deadline as well as to build designs that aid conversion rates and usability. It is important that candidates bring a commercial focus into the role.

Design Skills

*Strong visual and graphic design skills

*A solid working knowledge of the latest design toolsets

*Good design skills for web layout and typography

*Strong Photoshop skills for image retouching, compositing, visualising and creation purposes

*Able to visualise and verbalise your ideas to the team and client when called upon

*Have an understanding of technologies and how they can help and hinder your design solutions

*You are a digital native, savvy in all things digital

*You design to solve problems

*Good eye for detail

*Self- censor, catching and correcting errors

*Always looking to improve the quality of your design work

*Accept what you don't know and ask questions

*Know how to talk about your work and rationalise your ideas

*Know when to champion an idea, and when to let it go

*You're great at opening up and sharing idea

Typical activities:

* Working under the guidance of the more senior design members and assist them and other team members on projects

* Produce regular email campaigns, including email newsletters.

* Designing template web pages, collaborating

with the development teams.

* Producing visual content for web pages and other mediums.

* Conceptualising and designing web assets and banners,

including banners for 3rd party websites.

* Development and maintenance brand websites.

* Conceptualising, creating, and executing amazing design ideas. Your design solutions impress and surprise.

* You push boundaries and leverage trends while solving real problems.

* You apply best practices to new ideas to create something unique and effective,

* Sketching out your work and developing your own processes.

* You're a team player; you play nice with other creatives, UX and developers.

* Understand that your team is your greatest resource - the underlying mechanism in all this is respect for your peers, their time, their ideas and their feedback.

* You're always anticipating the next big thing and seeking out ways to learn more.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience

* With 1-2 years' experience in digital design

* Degree in Graphic Design or related industry experience preferred

* A portfolio that shows diverse, yet refined digital pieces.

Software & Working methods

* Sketch ideas out, Wireframes, Invision, Pixate.

* Adobe CC package: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator,

Edge (animation)
