Software Tester - Glasgow- (.Net, SQL Server) - Glasgow - Paying up to £300 pd!

A leading name within Glasgow is keen on hiring a new Software Tester to join their offices for a 6 month contract.

The role will involve being responsible for testing .NET applications and performing the following functions:

* Plan all testing activities to ensure deliverables are met on time.

* Develop and execute test cases and plans for functional, performance, regression testing and user acceptance testing needs.

* Writing test plans and test scripts for websites and web applications.

* Perform software testing include functional, cosmetic and feature testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, reporting results and planning for upcoming testing cycles. Must manage, schedule, and coordinate test activities.

* Provide technical support to end users for corporate applications using analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

* Review, analyze, and create detail documentation, including business requirement, workflow, user manual and brief instructions.

* Assist the manager in the full lifecycle development of assigned applications, including functional requirements, analyses, configuration setup, testing and documentation

Qualifications:

* ISTQB Foundation certificate in Software testing

* 5+ years of related professional experience in software testing

* 5+ years of QA testing experience with a thorough knowledge of software development life cycle principles and QA methodologies.

* 5+ years' experience with testing in websites, database and web applications in .NET platform.

* 5+ years' experience with tracking software to document defects and results.

* Ability to analyse existing systems and ascertain business logic and users requirement, and apply that into system testing and application support.

* Understanding object models and workflow, configuration management tools, and .NET development environments would be a plus.

* 3+ years' experience with SQL Server Management Studio for data verification and database testing using queries.
