Linux Engineer / Senior Linux DevOps (UNIX JMS Messaging Web Puppet Java). Global financial trading firm is seeking a skilled Senior Linux Engineer to design, build, configure and deploy Web and Middleware infrastructure and services for a complex and highly-transactional trading system.

As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will work closely with the infrastructure and development teams to ensure optimal performance, automating wherever possible. Using a broad range of web and middleware technologies, you will devise innovative solutions to challenging issues and support regular releases.

Requirements:

           Considerable experience of working in a UNIX / Linux production environment

           Good understanding of JMS Messaging technologies, such as IBM MQ, Fiorano MQ, ActiveMQ, Redhat MRG

           Knowledge of Web technologies, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), load-balancers and Apache

           Experience of Software installation and configuration management with Puppet and / or MCollective

           Passionate and self-motivated, constantly seeking to stay abreast of new and emerging technologies, pro-active about seeking new innovations and process improvements

           Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving abilities

           Excellent written and verbal communication skills
