Test Lead / Edinburgh / Contract / 6 Month Rolling/£325

My client top tier investment bank based in Scotland is looking for a Senior Tester or Test Lead to join their busy team.

Key objectives for this role are the following:

Implementation of a new version of software - the objective is to lead one of the testing phases within this. The software is Fircosoft version 5 part of Anti Money Laundering.

Test Lead - will have a number of (mainly) offshore resources reporting to this person. Meanwhile this person will report to the Platform Test Manager who manages the delivery of the project(s) end to end

* Ability to review documentation brought into the testing arena - such as requirements and functional specifications

* Creation of test plans / peer review and review of scenarios and detailed collateral against requirements

* Accountable for day to day planning, management and delivery of assigned Test Phases

* Responsible for ensuring all key stakeholders are aware of progress through agreed programme methodology

* Responsible for the management of applicable Testing RAIDS

* Reporting to and supporting Platform Test Manager

* Responsible for ensuring lessons learned collateral is both used and constantly updated

* Provide timely updates in to Project Working groups against assigned Test Phases

* Responsible for the co-ordination of Business/SME/3rd Party resource used to deliver testing activities

* Matrix management of direct and indirect resources within the assigned Test Phase/s (on and offshore)

Essential skills

* Led a small team of testers (5 to 10) and delivered either a project or part of a project before.

* Knowledge of both on and offshore functional test capability and experience of dealing with both

* Experience of planning test projects and leading phases of testing including reporting to Stakeholders of appropriate progress.
