ArcSight SIEM Information / Cyber Security Consultant - £70-90k

You will be working for a global information security company operating in twelve countries with multiple 24/7 SOCs and R&D Laboratories across the world and providing solutions to a vast range of world-renowned businesses and government agencies. This company possess over fifteen years of experience in the IT Security sector and their rapid growth in recent years has seen them ensure venture capital funding to expand their presence in Europe.

The role will entail the design and creation of content using HP's ArcSight SIEM for the monitoring of security events from network devices with appropriate actions being taken depending on the needs/requirements of the company to ensure quality and success of each individual solution. There will be regular collaboration with the engineering teams to outline requirements for the build environment that will ensure a creative solution to the customer's challenges, working collectively with other service/product team members to perform successful implementation via on-site installation, customisation and integration of the relevant SIEM solution. Other aspects of the position may include post-sales support to provide integrations that allow the continued improvement of the particular ArcSight SIEM implementation.

Successful candidates will be required to have relevant industry certifications (CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CEH etc.) with, ideally, a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field in addition to which experience in the Information Security / IT risk management field in relation to network, host, database and application security in relation to multiple operating system environments are mandatory.

In terms of work experience, our ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience in the Information Security arena with respect to a particular SIEM (ArcSight would be of significant benefit to any applicants), knowledge of perimeter security devices (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN etc.), a familiarity with OS administration of Windows/Unix/Linux and script language programming. Furthermore, a familiarity with the configuration and use of Virtual Machines, Database concepts operations, and network experience (Protocols, Ports, Routers, Switches) would also be desirable.
