The Business Analyst is a crucial role in the Corporate Planning Team working with the organisation to investigate, analyse, review, define and document business requirements, functions and processes identifying available options and recommending high-level solutions.

The Business Analyst will focus on helping deliver the company's requirement for a single view of all activity and intelligence relating to industry partners, local and national government contacts, business customers, QA scheme members and other industry stakeholders.

This project, called Stakeholder Customer Relationship Management (SCRM), will deliver the business strategy for managing and nurturing the organisation’s interactions with its stakeholders. It includes utilising CRM technology to organise, automate, and synchronise business processes as well as providing relevant business intelligence to inform key strategies.

The project will involve building a new Stakeholder CRM system to be run in-house and this post will assist with the development & implementation of the new system as well as the streamlining of business processes to enable well informed and efficient interactions with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Organise and lead meetings with Business Champions to gather requirements for the S-CRM project ensuring the required deliverables and scope are fully understood. Develop a clear understanding of the current business process and activities.

- Work to a formal requirements gathering process and deliver documented requirements in a functional specification to ensure there is documentation to govern what is being created and delivered. Validate and ensure that the requirements meet the defined scope for each stage of the project.

- Direct the project and technical team when they are unclear on the details of a particular requirement, to ensure all functionality is developed as required.

- Produce documented business processes and flowcharts to support the development of the system and its ongoing use in the business.

- Clearly document all requirements in use case format that can be used for system development and testing.

- Analyse data supplied from relevant data sources to ensure it is valid and fit for purpose and lead the definition of a plan for cleansing and matching the data to the relevant entities in CRM.

- Prepare data into formats suitable for importing into the CRM database. Identify data issues and resolve them working alongside the business champions.

- Implement internal test plans for the project as part of the quality assurance process and work closely with the project team to ensure that coverage is complete as possible.

- Support User Acceptance Testing phases of projects and ensure that the deliverables are fit for purpose and meet agreed requirements, prior to being released to internal customers. This is a key element of the quality assurance process.

- Contribute to post-implementation reviews to incorporate learnings for each stage of the project.

- Work autonomously, seeking any required direction from the Project Manager.

Experience:

- Excellent experience of systems and business analysis

- Extensive experience gathering requirements with project customers and stakeholders

- Strong and extensive experience producing thorough and detailed requirements specifications

- Strong and extensive experience producing detailed technical specifications

- Excellent knowledge and understanding of data collection approaches, analysis and techniques

- A demonstrable understanding of the software development life cycle

- Experience of change management processes and as-is/to-be analysis

- A good understanding of project management approaches and methodologies (i.e. PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum)

- Excellent ability to discuss requirements with both technical and non-technical team members and colleagues

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Able to deliver work to strict deadlines
