My client based 15 minutes from Glasgow city centre is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be joining an existing team supporting around 500+ users and a varied IT Infrastructure. As part of the team your responsibilities will vary day to day depending on business needs and situations. You will have the opportunity to work with a company that invest heavily into their IT technologies giving you exposure to the latest hardware/software's available in the market. Coupled with a comprehensive training programme you are always going to be at the forefront of your technical game.

Required

* At least 5 years experience in installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Server operating systems (2008R2/2012).

* Proven experience in installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Desktop operating systems (Windows 7/8/8.1).

* Current experience in implementation and supporting Citrix XenApp Application Servers (6/7).

* Experience in supporting a complex storage environment (SAN, etc.).

* Knowledge and experience of providing business applications support.

* Knowledge and experience of supporting diverse and complex ICT hardware concepts

* Knowledge and experience of installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting a Microsoft Exchange environment (2010/13).

* Previous experience of providing network (LAN/WAN/WLAN) support and troubleshooting preferable with Cisco equipment.

Desired

* Formal certification (CCA/MCP/CCNA) would be of great advantage.

* Experience in supporting IP based telephony systems and video conferencing systems.

* Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining Virtualisation technology (VMWare vSphere 5.5/6.0).

* Experience installing, configuring and maintaining Storage Area Networks (Dell Equallogic PS Series).

* Experience installing and configuring Citrix Xenapp servers/farms & Access Gateways.

* Experience supporting MS SharePoint 2010 / 2013.

* Experience installing, configuration and supporting Microsoft System Centre suite of applications (SCOM, SCCM, SCSM).

* PRINCE2 Foundation certification.

* ITIL Foundation certification.

* Experience of Office 365 / Exchange Online / SharePoint Online.
