BAU Business Analyst

My Edinburgh based client are looking to bring on a BAU Business Analyst to come in on a 6 month contract to improve the systems and structures within the organisation with regards to the BAU processes. You will be joining the organisation and assisting them in working through a number of challenging business changes - to do so, you will need to have the ability to speak and understand the language of IT. In order to be considered for this role, you will need to be able to:

* Think creatively and be able to articulate inventive ideas to solve business challenges.

* Carry out interviews, analyse complex documents and facilitate successful workshops.

* Evaluate information and present it in a more digestible way.

* Actively contribute to Product Management community of practice

* Offer peer-peer support

Technical Ability

* Write effective sector business cases

* Demonstrable Value Stream Mapping Experience

* Demonstrable experience modelling the capabilities of an organisation

* Create business process diagrams using standardised notation in Microsoft Visio or similar package

* Ensure Non Functional Requirements are identified and agreed

Delivery Experience

* Gather and use evidence to assess the costs, benefits and risks of a wide range of delivery options when influencing stakeholder decisions

* Identify and understand relevant legal and commercial terms, concepts, policies and processes (including project approvals and assurance procedures) to deliver agreed outcomes

* Demonstrate an understanding of how to manage requirements and be able to articulate horizon and intermediary goals

* Know-how of how to identify and raise project dependencies

* Ability to own issues and drive them to resolutions
