My client a well-respected financial services client based is looking for a Newtwork Engineer who has experience ideally working with Cisco Nexus, Loadbalancing: A10 exposure is a real plus but if F5's is ok. You will be working on a large data centre migration as they're moving offices in November/December based in central London.

What the role will entail:

Our client is looking for someone to ensure that core network of the company includes appropriate standards, ITIL compliance, resilience, monitoring, DR plans, backup & storage capabilities and operational readiness.

CCNP Networking specialist within the production team. The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in a financial environment.

You will additionally be responsible for ensuring availability of LAN/WAN networks, and providing tier 3 support for WAN and data centre connectivity.

You will also be responsible for managing incidents and requests logged to the WAN

Creating Firewall rules, and performing capacity modelling and monitoring.

* Ensuring all network components are appropriately monitored and integrated into the companies enterprise monitoring solution

* To carry networking duties in supporting production environments (incident, problem, change).

* To provide advice on platform/network security controls.

* To ensure infrastructure meets ITIL standards including appropriate DR capability.

The type of candidate they're looking for will have the following:

Proactively manage operational incidents, change and service requests raised to the network support team via the support ticketing system.

Maintain Disaster Recovery solutions across different platforms.

To recommend new or changed standards to ensure improved efficiency, effectiveness and robustness for all environments.

Share knowledge and produce appropriate documentation.

Where appropriate provide assistance in definition and implementation of platform roadmaps and strategy.

Response to Production incidents taking responsibility for their resolution, recording all necessary actions and escalation to the appropriate levels of management.

Primary responsibility for the management of all the companies network production infrastructures including but not limited to Nexus 5&7k, Juniper, F5, Cisco ASA, Cisco ACE and Cisco FWSM firewalls.

On Call required and will be required to perform shift to cover hours 08:00 to 18:00.
