SC Technical Operations Specialist

Unix / VMware / Virtualisation / Continuous Integration / Jenkins / Puppet / Stash / ITIL / Zabbix / SQL

Role Information:

* The client is looking for a Technical Operations Specialist for a 4 month initial engagement in London.

* The role is to work as part of the service operations team and will include service monitoring and providing technical expertise to resolve issues as they occur (across the application infrastructure, hosting platform and network).

* Responsibilities will also include deployments to the production environment and identifying opportunities for technical service improvement.

Required Skills:

* Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience of a live service operations environment and application support.

* A familiarity with ITIL processes and principles.

* Strong technical skills in Unix, Virtualisation (VMware) and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Puppet and Stash.

* Also of interest to the client is experience with developing Zabbix monitoring capability and a working knowledge of SQL.

Client Information:

* Our client is a large blue-chip IT outsourcing organisation, this role would be working on site for one of their Public Sector Clients in London.
