Core Network Engineer - Relocation Opportunity

€55,000 - €70,000 (c£39,000 - c£50,000) Plus Competitive Benefits Package Including Relocation Allowance

Our client supplies exceptional communications solutions, including world-leading broadband managed networks. They are now looking for a Core Network Engineer to join their team.

In this vital role, you’ll be based near the industrial metropolis of Frankfurt, renowned for its thriving theatre district, great shopping locations and stunning skyline. You’ll be provided with a great benefits package and relocation allowance to ensure that your move is as smooth as possible.

As a Core Network Engineer, you’ll be tasked with helping to design, implement and monitor the core network for our client’s cutting-edge satellite system.

Collaborating with colleagues, you’ll build and integrate 3G and 4G core systems into the company’s end-to-end network. You’ll act as an administrator for the network’s security systems and processes.

You’ll help to create and support a variety of interconnects required for our client’s SMS, emergency services, CALEA, and SIP origination and termination services.

Establishing a network performance reporting regime, you’ll also maintain internal web pages, databases, software tools and file shares.

To be considered for the role of Core Network Engineer, you must have:

- At least five years’ experience of working in an operations centre or design engineering environment

- Advanced Linux and UNIX administration experience

- Previous experience of carrier networks, including all phases of design, engineering, build and support

- Some experience of specialised services, such as emergency calling, CALEA and SIP origination termination

- A track record of troubleshooting Layer 1-7 LAN and/or WAN issues

- Previous experience of 3G and/or 4G packet core and IMS networks, packet data and IMS signalling flows and standards

- Experience of Huawei products and equipment

- A Bachelor’s, ideally a Master’s, degree in an engineering, telecommunications, mathematics or scientific discipline

As a Core Network Engineer, you must have strong English communication skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving.
