Delivery Manager

£45,000 Northampton

My client is working on a number of fibre optic broadband installation projects across the UK and are engaged with us here at Better People Ltd to source a skilled and experienced Delivery Manager to oversee projects in Northamptonshire.

You would be joining a dynamic and fast moving business who are leaders in their field - delivering the fastest and most efficient broadband product in the UK.

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the timely delivery of FTTH network builds in rural locations.

Reporting daily to the Project Manager, the Delivery Manager will control multiple teams of civils and splicing subcontractors, in order to deliver ultra-fast broadband to residents in the UK. The Delivery Manager will also be responsible for co-ordinating work alongside in-house Civils Inspectors to ensure H&S and Quality standards are met.

The Delivery Manager will largely be field based and will deliver to pre-defined project plans. It is expected that the Delivery Managers will be home based travelling to sites in their locality. So living close to the working site is expected.

The Delivery Manager will have good working relationships with the Project Manager, Local Authorities, resident broadband champions, parish councils and subcontractors.

The Delivery Manager will be accountable for on-site network delivery and responsible for build quality. Our Delivery Managers are good with the public and working as a public facing ambassador of the business.

To qualify for this role you must be

                                                             Educated to degree level or have 7 years + experience in civils and telecommunications delivery management

                                                             Project Management experience

                                                             Prince2 Practitioner desirable

                                                             NRSWA qualification

                                                             Subcontractor management (both Civils and Fibre Telecoms)

                                                             Understanding of basic principles of Project Management

                                                             Good understanding of general telecom networking

Experience:

                                                             Strong network build management background

                                                             Good understanding of fibre based telecommunications - FTTH, FTTx

                                                             Background in Civils digs including the management of noticing, trenching and reinstatement works

                                                             Experienced in the co-ordination of in-house civils inspectors

                                                             Working with local council authorities
