Customer Project Manager - Network Roll-out, Telecoms.

Dublin, Ireland.

We are looking for talented Senior Project/Program Managers in the area of Network Roll-Out with responsibility for Program and Project Delivery to key customers within Western & Central Europe. We are expanding rapidly into new markets locally and internationally. As a member of the team, you will be a Senior Project/Program Manager for our customers seeking to deploy, expand, restructure, upgrade or migrate their radio or broadband access networks and provide strong support in Network Roll-Out services. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of a Program & work towards providing deliverables to our customer, work centrally towards the sales/account teams and be responsible for your part of the Program. As a Program Manager, you will oversee a team of Project Managers, and be responsible for the Organizational benefits, stakeholder & governance management. After that, you have responsibility for Program Plan Management, organisation alignment, sponsorship, team capability development, project/program standards & metrics. Both roles will often span offices, time zones and sometimes hemispheres, and it's your job to keep effective Stakeholder Management during the project life-cycle with a strong focus on the customer relationship and developing new Business opportunities.

Responsibilities

* For Project & Program management, you have responsibility to deliver improvements on business case margins where possible.

* Responsible to actively manage and mitigate Project/Program risks.

* For Program Management, you have responsibility to provide leadership & support the Project Managers in your team to ensure their commitment and full alignment to the Program key objectives and success factors.

* Responsible to monitor progress & efficiencies across all project streams and initiate proactive corrective action wherever appropriate, to ensure that deliverables are produced on time, within budget, to a high quality standard and required customer levels.

* Responsible to manage exceptions, slippage and issues of priority, at programme level, escalating where required and initiating proactive and mitigating actions to address same wherever appropriate.

* Responsible to ensure your Program team members achieve add on sales during program delivery and identify new business opportunities

* Responsible to manage customer expectations, building and maintaining strong customer relationships via effective engagement in the governance process and day to day engagement around programme status, risks and issues.

Required Skills and Experience

* For Senior Project/Program Management, several years international experience at that level in a Telecoms environment.

* Strong Leadership skills - this is a key requirement of the role, with evidence of having been identified as a leader within previous teams, roles or assignment & leading diverse teams across countries and in varied situations.

* Demonstrated experience of using a PM model of delivery e.g. PMI's PMBOK/PRINCE2 or equivalent. PgMP® certification an advantage.

* Experience in managing & controlling budgets in Projects & Programs with a value of > EUR50 Million and financial trackers

* Strong competence in PM Tools, MS Project, SAP or equivalent organisation methodology, Clarity & MS Office applications.

* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

* Excellent Business Understanding especially in regard to Telecom Operators. including strong knowledge and application of ETOM.

* For Program Management, experience of initiating and driving change, both organisational and process at Program level

* Proven experience in problem solving and handling customer escalations, and the ability to do so under pressure and tight deadlines

* Capability to co-ordinate geographically distributed project teams and have experience in managing off-shore delivery activities

EDUCATION

* Degree in Engineering/Project/Business Management or equivalent

* PMP Certified, PRINCE2, or equivalent is necessary.

* Program Management Professional (PgMP)® or MSP is desirable
