- A Resilience Change Delivery Lead in our Head Office in Swindon

- £53,162 - £79,744 a year dependent on current remuneration + Status Car

- Permanent, full time opportunity, 35 hours a week

Group Operational Resilience has been created to strengthen Nationwide's first line of defence and ensure we can deliver an 'Always On' service to our members. High on both the regulators' and Board's agenda, we need to deliver an ambitious strategy across all aspects of operational resilience, including people & processes, premises, third parties as well as technology.

Who we're looking for

This role will suit an IT / Business Programme Manager (Banking / Financial Services) with an established background within change programmes to enable them to oversee the delivery of Resilience Change across many portfolios and to lead/manage internal resilience reviews within the organisation. They should have a broad understanding of business operations and IT systems covering Technical, Business Process, People, Third parties and Premises within a large financial organisation.

As a minimum requirement you'll have:

- Extensive experience of working as a Programme Manager

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audience

- Financial Service experience, preferably in the Retail banking sector

- Demonstrable experience of incepting/shaping, managing and delivering business change and IT focused programmes

- Experience of working with a broad cross section of high profile stakeholders

- Experience of managing multiple programmes, with large on and off-shore teams with multiple third parties

- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite (in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and SharePoint)

It would be nice if you also had:

- Role relevant qualifications such as Prince2, MSP, ITIL and COBIT

- A relevant degree or relevant professional experience in Resilience / Business Continuity is desirable

- Experience in IT DR, Business Continuity, IT Service Management functions would be desirable but not essential.

What you'll be doing

As the Resilience Change Delivery Lead, you'll be responsible for managing the Resilience change analyst team in identifying resilience improvement opportunities across the organisation with a focus on the most critical services. You will also be responsible for sponsoring new resilience change that meets our Resilience Strategy and policy requirements that will be delivered by a number of transformational programmes.

Key accountabilities as the Resilience Change Delivery Lead will include:

- Run and manage a team of Resilience change analysts

- Oversee the strategic alignment of the Resilience delivery programme portfolio with the Operational Resilience Strategy and its underpinning policies

- Chair the Resilience Change forum reviewing new resilience change proposals seeking sponsorship

- Oversight and/or running of internally sponsored resilience focused reviews working with the senior management of those areas being reviewed.

- Represent Group Operational Resilience as the resilience sponsor on a number of project boards supporting their successful delivery.

- Identify and support new resilience opportunities to improve our overall organisational resiliency in line with the resilience strategy/policies. (the scope covers all aspects of organisational change - Technical, Business Process, People, Third parties and Premises)

- Oversight of the Resilience Transformation Portfolio programmes

- Supporting other members of the Resilience Senior Management Team and their functions

- Ensuring Stakeholders are kept informed of the latest Resilience team activities across the organisation via regular meetings and presentations.

- Championing the culture of Resilience within the organisation

- Challenging and supporting third parties manage their resilience change and providing the relevant level of control and governance.

- Resilience change progress reporting
