Job Title: Front End Web Developer

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: £21,000 - £30,000 pa depending on experience

Our Client provides web design and development solutions to small-medium businesses throughout the North West of England. Based in Manchester City Centre they currently have a vacancy for a web designer/front end developer. The role will involve talking to customers directly and via email to discuss new and ongoing projects. You will work as part of a team of 14 in their Manchester City Centre office. You will need to be organised and structured in your approach to tasks. It is important to be able to communicate well with the internal team and with customers. You will be responsible for delivering a variety of web-based projects small and large to clients of varying sizes across different business sectors. The role is diverse and challenging and will suit someone who thrives in this environment.

The standard working hours are 9am to 5:30pm from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

* Speaking to customers on the phone and in person

* Putting together and update design briefs for projects large and small

* Creating wire-frame websites

* Develop responsive, cross-browser enabled websites

* Produce design concepts and branding of a high standard

* Consider website usability when creating sites

* Create engaging content using up to date styles and technologies

* Design and manage engaging email marketing campaigns working with the development team

* Set, work to and manage deadlines

* Demonstrate a keen willing to learn new skills and develop personally

Key Skills, Experience & Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years web design/development experience

* Strong HTML and CSS skills

* WordPress / PHP / JavaScript / Bootstrap/MYSQL

* Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

* Excellent written and verbal communication

* Experience of design/send of email marketing campaigns

* High level of attention to detail when designing

* Knowledge and experience of web standards and responsiveness

* Strong time management and organisational skills

* Approachable and helpful "can-do" attitude with clients and other team members

* Desire to learn new skills and technologies
