My client, an innovative software company based in the heart of Edinburgh, are looking for a PHP / Moodle developer to join their team.

You will have the responsibility of managing and executing development related task and reporting to the team lead. While Moodle development will be the your primary focus, you will also have the chance to work on other projects (PHP and non-PHP) depending on your experience and interests.

To be considered for this role you must have:

- At least one year's Moodle experience (plugins and module development)

- At least 2 years experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL databases

- Solid knowledge of PHP and it's best practices (PHPUnit and Memcache)

- Experience using Git and SVN

- Javascript experience (jQuery, Angular.js)

Desirable skills:

- Experience in TDD and BDD

- Advanced Java experience

- Advanced Javascript experience

- Experience using JIRA

- Command line LINUX knowledge

- Integration experience

For this position, my client are offering a salary in the region of £32-34k + benefits. My client are based in Edinburgh city centre so it is a perfect commute for anyone in the Edinburgh area.
