DV Cleared Telecoms Project Manager

We are currently seeking a DV cleared Telecoms project Manager for an initial 6 months based in Gloucestershire. The role will be situated in a small team and the candidate will ideally have a background in telecoms and experience within other agencies would be an advantage.

Job description

* Lots of Stakeholder/External clients experience

* Software and Hardware experience

* Someone with a telecoms background

* 4G LTE experience

* Situated in a small team

* Working in a research, configuration and test environment (mostly telecoms and 4GLTE) - they will be responsible for the delivery of hardware and software installs.

* They will be dealing with both London sites as well as sites in America in the delivery of the product.

* Responsible for the delivery of a project which includes a number of work packages

Indicative experience

* Typically about 5 to 8 years' experience of managing a number of medium/large sized work packages

* Typically management of several projects across the whole life cycle, including start-up

* Team and resource leadership

* Responsibility for team leadership of a small team and accountability for building and motivating the team

* Planning for and obtaining the appropriate levels and types of resource

* Agreeing terms of reference with the project team members and the relevant directorship

Work package management

* Define and agree the scope and deliverables of specific work packages with your Project Managers

* Identifying issues and recommending solutions to the programme manager and other relevant parties

* Producing coordinated plans for the work packages and then maintaining/tracking progress and up-dating the work package plans

* Establishing common milestones which link to the wider project/programme milestones

* Holding checkpoint meetings with the work package managers

Delivery

* Identifying and managing the risks

* Ensuring the delivery of quality products, on target, within budget and other constraints

* Identifying issues and recommending solutions to the project manager and other relevant parties

* Driving all aspects of the work package to a successful conclusion and resolving conflict within the work package

* Working within the standard disciplines and processes established for the project/programme

* Providing progress and status reports to the project board/programme manager and project team

* Defining and managing stakeholder expectations

Personality fit

* Able to gain the respect of peers

* Displays leadership skills and is able to lead teams positively

* Able to interface with stakeholders and suppliers and create a good impression

to be considered for this position you ned to hold valid DV clearance or be
