Project manager vacancy, Near Swindon, Up to £47,000

Huxley Engineering are recruiting for an experienced project manager to join one of there global engineering clients who are based in the Wiltshire area.

The company have a very well established, high technology, R & D site based near Swindon and they need to bring in an experienced, PRINCE2 certified Project manager on a permanent basis to carry out the below job requirements and tasks.

This is what we need you to do…

To lead the planning and implementation of projects through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities:

* Lead the planning and implementation of the project, develop full scale project plans.

* Prime point of contact for the customer.

* Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.

* Define project tasks and resource requirements, manage project resource allocation.

* Manage project budget and finances.

* Variation management.

* Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.

* Provide leadership and support the project team.

* Quality assurance and risk management.

* Constantly monitor and report on progress to all stakeholders (internal and external).

* Implement project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs and improve margin.

This is what we need you to have…

Professional experience and/or qualifications:

* Degree qualified in engineering or technical.

* Contract management.

* Experience in managing technical projects at a system level.

* Experience in managing commercial aspects of large projects.

* Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience.

* Extensive experience in a project environment.

* Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management (Prince 2 or APM certified).

* Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.

* Direct experience in a senior project management capacity.

* Proven experience in people management, strategic planning, change management, risk management

and techniques.

Additional Requirements:

* Able and willing to travel as required, including abroad.
