Business Development Executive

UK Field Based (Glasgow Office)

An organisation who are market leaders in the development of mobile solutions for "Blue Light" Services are recruiting for a seasoned Business Development Executive to take ownership for a new sales campaign that will see the promotion of their mobile solution into new client sites across the UK.

Working across the Blue Light Services this role will focus predominantly on New Business Development with some account management of existing accounts. The successful Sales Executive will ideally have previous experience within this area and market.

Role Responsibilities:

* Build a new business pipeline within the Blue Light/Public Sector through early identification of potential opportunities, nurturing of key contacts within existing customer accounts and bidding through competitive tender

* Develop sales plans, accurate forecasts on all opportunities, updating Salesforce CRM along the way

* Manage the full Solutions Sales process from ‘suspect’ to ‘prospect’ ensuring all opportunities meet the required qualification criteria

* Identify and build relationships with a variety of decision makers and influencers from operator up to C Suite level

* Have confidence when discussing the product solution, promoting product benefits to existing and potential customers, settling all concerns and oppositions

Experience Required:

* Previous experience building a new business pipeline in value up to £0.5m and £2m

* Lead winning sales campaigns following a recognised governance process.

* Develop strong and profitable relationships with key contacts in the UK Public Sector, building rapport through consistent, confident and open communication styles.

* Ability in recommending strategic business directions that meet the projected needs of prospective and existing customers

* Translate strategic direction to assist others in making sound judgments and decisions.

* Understand and articulate strategic objectives and translate these into key business objectives.

* Demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally

Desirable Experience:

* Technical background in Software Development - Mobile Technologies or Java

* Previous experience or connections within Blue Light Services.
