Home based VB.NET WinForms / Desktop Developer required by an award-winning and hugely successful online / internet company whose websites are amongst the Top 250 in the world in terms of traffic. This role sits within a high profile development team and we hiring because of sheer growth.

These are truly exciting times as the company expand their substantial Development Team through remote working. As Home based VB.NET WinForms / Desktop Developer you will be fully kitted out for a 100% home-based role.

Salary for this VB.NET WinForms / Desktop Developer role is £35-45k + annual bonus, 25 days' holiday and 5% contributory pension scheme.

This Home based VB.NET WinForms / Desktop Developer role involves developing and supporting tools and management applications utilised within the business to define real-time information displayed on the company's websites at any given time.

We're looking for commercial VB.NET WinForms experience (framework 2.0 or later) and strong T-SQL skills. You'll bring a proven track record of delivering high quality, scalable software solutions and have solid understanding of Windows and Office applications.

Experience of multithreading, VB6 development and migration to .NET would also be useful in this VB.NET WinForms / Desktop Developer post. Jira is used for issue management and AccuRev for version control.

You will join a team which consists of approx 30 staff. It's an informal culture, akin to a small firm, where Developers are given a lot of autonomy to go away and deliver. It's an incredibly busy time for this team with lots of long-term projects on the go. The fast-evolving industry sector in which this firm operates requires a .NET Developer who brings a highly pragmatic approach - you will use a variety of methodologies and techniques to deliver software within a fluid, informal culture.
