Guy’s and St Thomas’ is one of the largest Hospital Trusts in the country. Our hospitals have a long and proud history, dating back almost 900 years, and have been at the forefront of medical progress and innovation since they were founded. We continue to build on these traditions and have a reputation for clinical, teaching and research excellence. The Commercial team at GSTT is the largest in the NHS. It is responsible for developing and managing a wide range of commercial activities designed to generate surpluses to support Trust clinical services.

Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust has undertaken a review of its response to changes in the NHS, UK and International healthcare markets and is implementing a new strategy to respond to opportunities and challenges arising from these changes. This has necessitated the creation of a business development team that will focus on responding to NHS, UK and International market opportunities.

We are looking to recruit to a Senior Project Manager (International) and the role will be responsible for:

- End to end delivery of a set of international projects through the full life cycle.

- Creating, managing and motivating both internal and external project teams, including clinicians and stakeholders, to ensure effective delivery in accordance with the project objectives.

- Carrying out research in your field of expertise to ensure that you are cognisant of new developments and trends in project management and remain at the required level of expertise.

- Ensure effective monitoring practices are in place to manage risk, budget and programme delivery, in order to achieve effective delivery.

You will be a problem solver, able to create solutions that summarize approaches discussed in meetings, and have proven business development experience within private and/or public sectors. You will be able to manage wide and diverse working relationships, have strong interpersonal skills and have excellent analytical and interpretive skills. You will also have previous experience of business development on an international level.

The Commercial Directorate is a fast moving, dynamic working environment, and as part of the NHS offers an excellent benefits scheme. This role is ideal for ambitious candidates who are looking for a sense of ownership and autonomy in a leading NHS Trust that is experiencing explosive growth.
