Enigma People Solutions is delighted to be exclusively engaged to recruit two Programme Managers for a leading education establishment based in Glasgow.

Our client is embarking on a significant transformation programme to become a technology embedded organisation capable of delivering digital solutions to their user group of almost 20,000 students and staff.

You will work at a modern campus currently undergoing £30 million redevelopment in the heart of the vibrant and welcoming city of Glasgow. You will be joining a distinctive, inclusive and forward looking organisation that is evolving into an international centre of higher education. The information services directorate is expanding and has a number of new exciting opportunities that will focus on a wide and deep transformation designed to create a truly digitally enabled organisation and service offering to staff and students alike.

Your role will be to successfully manage and deliver multiple concurrent ICT projects and programmes that deliver against business requirements and technical standards. You will work with senior staff to aid governance and decision making in support of future project planning that supports strategic direction. You will be assigned projects/work by a Strategic Board and will be accountable to the Board on the successful delivery of the project/work.

To be of interest you will be educated to degree level or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management qualification and ITIL Foundation certified or experience working in an environment that uses ITIL. Further essential criteria include the ability to demonstrate extensive project experience at a managerial level and plan and manage major new projects or programmes, ensuring plans complement broader organisational strategy.

Key skills and experience required

PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent Project Management qualification

ITIL Foundation certified or experience working in an environment that uses ITIL

Experience of programme management.

Experience

Extensive project experience at a managerial level

Ability to plan and manage major new projects or programmes, in line with broader organisational strategy

Experience of public sector procurement e.g. the OJEU Competitive Dialogue process

Experience of planning sprints and other agile activities

Skills, Knowledge & Behaviours

Ability to respond to a variety of complex situations in a calm and professional manner.

Effective leadership and team working skills.

Effective organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

Effective communication skills including negotiation, persuasion and influencing colleagues at all levels of the organisation.

Ability to switch between tasks requiring different skill sets on a frequent basis.
