My cent based in London are looking for a HR Data Systems Analyst on an initial 3 month contract.

The company in question are implementing a new HR and Payroll system to replace the existing systems (which are currently separate). The role is to provide detailed data analysis skills into the various project work streams, covering the migration of the separate legacy and current hr systems and the separate payroll system onto a new, integrated platform and then the set up of HR regular and ad hoc reporting tools and processes and a start on establishing a HR Analytics capability.

You will

1.Capture of Data Migration Requirements (workshops, 1-2-1 meetings and distilling existing documentation) and documenting these both for the System Supplier and for internal record keeping. Analysis of existing Staff Data sources, assessment of quality gaps, mapping into new system templates and ensuring effective testing and cutover procedures to provide confidence in the Go Live process.

2.Supporting the external System Supplier in understanding the data requirements and liaising closely with them to ensure all data migrations are mapped out rigorously.

3.Planning and preparing (or arranging setup) of required test data into Unit, System and User Acceptance testing phases and hands-on testing as required appropriate trouble-shooting of issues to understand where data quality is a factor.

4.Capture of Reporting Requirements for the HR team and other stakeholders and documentation of these for setup by the System Supplier and/or configuration of these internally, as appropriate. Setup of a BAU regular and ad hoc Staff Data Reporting process and data delivery into organisation-wide dashboards, organisation charts and other similar processes as required.

5.Supporting the HR Project Manager, Business Analyst and IT Programme Office in tracking project stage progress, deliverables, Issues, Risks, Actions and Decisions and any other activities material to the successful management and delivery of the project.

6.As a temporary member of the HR Systems and Analytics team, the role may also involve some need to cover ad hoc BAU operational tasks in the area of HR Systems/Data/Analytics should these affect progress on the project or take priority.

You must have

1.Broad Data Analysis skills on multiple Systems Implementations covering all typical project phases from Project Initiation thru Bubble Support. Business/Data Analysis qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, ISEB) or Project Management quals. (e.g. Prince 2, PMP) would be a bonus but are not explicitly required

2.Specific experience of at least one HR Systems implementation, ideally covering legacy system data migration and with experience of data relating to all or the majority of: Core HR lifecycle processes; eRecruitment; Payroll; Self Service roll-out; Performance Management; Learning Management

3.An understanding of Service Management approach in general in a Support Function and ideally of the HR Business Partner/Service-Centre/Centres-of-Expertise model. Any experience of data setup and analysis relating to Service Desk processes would be a bonus.

4.Experience of working in public sector or similar organisations (ideally in Higher Education but not essential) and of organisations of a similar scale(circa 2,000 staff, combined HR/Payroll staff of circa 50).

5.Excellent MS Excel skills; Familiarity with MS Project; a good understanding of different application data structures, with knowledge of SQL scripts being a distinct advantage. Any experience of COGNOS reporting tool , Midland HR's iTrent system, Oracle HRMS and the TopDesk service desk tool would be a bonus.

6.Having an understanding of equality and diversity issues in a diverse workforce and able to demonstrate a clear understanding of data privacy requirements in HR systems and processes.

7.Attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) across all levels of an organisation and across a variety of staff types (Academics, Technicians, Accountants, HR Advisors, etc); A flexible approach and willingness to work to tight deadlines in a project-oriented environment.
