We believe that knowing our customers inside out means we can provide them with a better service. In this brand new role, within our e-commerce team, you’ll mine the masses of data we hold to create the insights our business relies on to thrive.

The Data Scientist role

Making sense of the numbers will be your overriding objective. This will involve analysing and deciphering large data sets to inform and guide key business decisions - be that on crucial marketing campaigns or improvements to our website. We want you to explore every customer touchpoint, from what they buy to when and where they buy it. Armed with this information, you’ll be able to report back and make recommendations to the business as you help us tap into this massively underused resource.

The skills you’ll need as a Data Scientist

You’re excited by numbers. You have an inquisitive mind - and you have the commercial savvy to seek out the opportunities our business needs to deliver and grow. Problem solving is second nature to you and you’ll be comfortable working on your own initiative or in collaboration with others. A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Maths or similar is essential while a strong background in machine learning or statistics would be a definite plus. Bring all of this together with experience in visualisation techniques and you’ll be the perfect package.
