Unix Sys Admin - Camberley (90mins from Waterloo) - 450 / Day

My client, a leading American bank, have an urgent requirement for a Unix Systems Admin with good storage experience.

Rate: 450 GBP / Day

Location: Camberley (90mins from Waterloo)

Duration: 6 Month Rolling Job

Description: A contractor role for an experienced, collaborative and enthusiastic UNIX SA to join an established storage transformation team across SAN and NAS storage on EMC and Net App products.

Role / Responsibilities:

* Work with the project manager to prepare, plan, remediate, execute and support the SAN and NAS migrations.

* Execute migrations based on defined plan and support/resolve any issues

* Available to support weekend and weekday out of hours migrations based on a schedule prepared by project manager. Remote working will be possible for out of hours in most cases

* Ensure adherence to Detailed Data Migration Strategy and compliance at all times

* Analysis of existing data sources, preparation and remediation for migration activities

* Identify and manage risks & issues in coordination with Project Manager

Unix SA - SAN / NAS - EMC - NetApp - Migrations - Storage transformation - Linux (RHEL3-6) - Solaris (8-10)
